Embodiment Action Transformation
Cygnet Theatre is looking for people aged 19 and upwards to join a fun and engaging weekly drama project – our second Community Acting Course! The experience will culminate in a public sharing of work-in-progress at Cygnet Theatre on December 1st.
Over the course individuals will meet weekly as a community company; to get to know one another, explore acting skills and work towards a short performance with our Artistic Director Alistair Ganley. Places are limited so be sure to book ahead below!
WHO IS IT FOR?
Anyone can apply – no acting experience is necessary. We welcome people of all ages (19+), identities and backgrounds.
DURING THE COURSE YOU WILL:
- Attend fun and engaging weekly workshops
- Explore Michael Chekhov’s imaginative psycho-physical approach to acting
- Apply new skills to text, voice and movement
DO I NEED TO PAY?
The course costs £90. This covers 10 weekly sessions and a full day of rehearsals before performance on the final day.
Sessions will take place every Tuesday, 7.00pm – 9.30pm from September 18 – November 27, 2018 (no session on October 16) followed by a full day with a public performance on Saturday December 1st – 10.00am – 5.00pm.
