Community Acting Workshop

Do you have a passion for acting?

Join Alistair Ganley – Cygnet’s Artistic Director – for a series of workshops designed to build confidence and skills. Accessible to all levels of experience, these weekly classes aim to build on and challenge previous experiences in an open, safe and friendly group environment.

Over the course we will look at

  • STORYTELLING as the basis for all drama
  • IMPROVISATION  to build strong, fast and fun characters and relationships, as well as encouraging spontaneity and listening, in both comic and dramatic scenarios
  • CHARACTERISATION finding information from a text or scenario to find 3D character 
  • PHYSICALITY
  • VOICE
  • THOUGHTS & FEELINGS
  • ACTIONS & INTENTIONS

There will be some text preparation and learning requested as part of the course

Dates    Sept 28th  – Dec 7th (TBC) with a week off for half term either Oct 19 or 26

Time      Tuesday 7.00 – 9.30

Cost       £100  (concession £80 NUS / unemployed)
