Alistair joined Cygnet after completing a degree in English at Nottingham University in 1985.  Having completed his training, he was asked to stay on to study directing and has been working at Cygnet ever since.

He studied movement and embodiment with Sandra Reeve for many years, and trained as a Dramatherapist (1997-1999)

At Cygnet, Alistair teaches acting and embodiment as well as directing productions for the company.  He relishes the opportunities to work on Shakespeare and poetry, as well as exploring new writing and modern texts.

Alistair has experience of working with children, youth theatre and community groups, and recently set up his own theatre company, Benchmark, to continue developing his directing practice
