An Actor’s Guide to Voice and Accent with Jacquie Crago

Cygnet is continuing to open up workshops for artists to join, focusing on physical / vocal release and performance techniques. Our next one offers an actor’s approach to developing a safe vocal technique and acquiring natural, accurate accents.  It will be led by Jacquie Crago.

Thursday 22 February 3pm – 6pm

Jacquie works as actor, director and now predominantly as a voice and dialect coach. She has been a regular contributor to the voice and text department at the RSC and is resident voice and dialect coach on the National Theatre’s tour of War Horse.

Her work focuses on physical release leading to embodied connection with voice and text. This particular workshop will guide you through appropriate exercises to help you achieve this connection and to increase your confidence and skill in using new accents.
