WHAT’S ON DANCE

S.E.E.D.S Dance Company
Chapters of Diagnosis
26 October 7.30pm

“I had people saying “it’s all in your head”. Do you honestly think I want to feel this way?”

A story inspired by anecdotal accounts, exploring the reality of what living with anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is really like – imagine a monkey that sits in your brain.

There are potentially around 741,504 people living with OCD and serious anxiety at any one time in the UK. Chapters of Diagnosis sets out to explore these two conditions through the eyes of three unique characters.

Telling their personal stories of what it is to live with these irrational and sometimes crippling conditions, SEEDS hopes to raise awareness and discussion on a topic that affects so many. Told through movement, narrated by illustrated projection and featuring an original score.

Tickets: £8 (£6 under 18/NUS) BOOK NOW

S.E.E.D.S
S.E.E.D.S is a professional performance company based at the Cygnet Theatre in Exeter, Devon. The company has many strands that intertwine creating a novel structure.

Our Mission and Partnership with Cygnet Theatre
It is our mission to ‘make dance happen in Exeter’ and to create a network for dancers within the locality and beyond. The company is currently in residency at the Cygnet theatre, creating work to be premiered in the coming year.

S.E.E.D.S understands that being a freelance dancer can sometimes become quite difficult in Devon, juggling work and creative projects; that is why we have created a space whereby dancers can be a part of the process but in a transient manner.

Over the next year we will be rolling out more opportunities for dancers to get involved, if you are interested in finding out more please drop us an email to info@bspokeartscollective.co.uk.

“We believe that the expressive arts have an ability to empower people regardless of gender, ethnicity and dis – ability.”
