Become a trustee of cygnet theatre

Chair of the Board of Trustees

The Chair of Cygnet Theatre plays a pivotal role in providing leadership to the board and ensuring the theatre’s strategic vision is fulfilled.

The Chair is responsible for fostering an inclusive and collaborative board culture, guiding trustees in their duties, and ensuring the organisation remains aligned with its mission. They act as a key ambassador for the theatre, ensuring its growth, sustainability, and commitment to the value of art for all.

It’s an exciting time to join Cygnet Theatre: we are transforming from a fulltime drama school to a community theatre and arts training centre led by our new theatre manager, Steve Bennett. The Chair will play a leading role in facilitating this transition.

The Chair is appointed for a 3-year term, and attends 4-6 board meetings a year. This is a voluntary position, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
